Artist's Profile - Arthur Watson
After 5 years studying art at Grimsby and Leeds, Athur entered the teaching profession, and taught in secondary schools and at art college before becoming self employed. Since when he has worked as a potter and artist and presently exhibits his works in his own art gallery at Tattershall and on line.
Arthur's ceramics are reduction fired stoneware, thrown on the wheel and may be seen at www.craftpottery.co.uk.
His paintings and prints reflect much of his own locality, but also possess universal appeal, with the use of strong colour and attention to tonal value. Arthur's originals are to be seen at www.paintingsandpottery.co.uk.
